On October 17-18, 2024, this international conference was attended by the most outstanding experts in both proposed topics, the translation of texts, and the Spanish theater of the seventeenth century, such as Erik Coenen, Fausta Antonucci, Barbara Fuchs, Eva Espasa Borrás, etc.
Davinia Rodríguez Ortega, member of our core research team, attended with an invited presentation entitled "Traducción y adaptación de la dramaturgia del Siglo de Oro en la prensa del Romanticismo británico". The paper dealt with the way in which the British actor Thomas S. Munden adopted the role of reviewer and wrote about Cervantes' theatre in several issues of the magazine The New Monthly Magazine published in 1821.
