Roundtable at AEDEAN Conference (Nov. 12th 2025)
Four members of our project – Cristina Flores Moreno, María Eugenia Perojo Arronte, Sara Medina Calzada y Alicia Muro Llorente – have participated in the 48th AEDEAN Conference (Asociación Española de Estudios Anglo-Norteamericanos) in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) with the roundtable “The Social Dynamics of the Anglo-Hispanic Literary Exchange in the British Romantic Era: Identifying and Drawing Circles”. Cristina Flores presented an introduction to the Social Dynamics of the Anglo-Hispanic Literary Exchange in the British Romantic Era. Following, Alicia Muro (together with colleague Rosario López Gómez) presented the paper “Digital Humanities Applied to the Study of Social Dynamics in British Romanticism: A Node Graph to Represent Cultural Circles”. The two case studies presented, by Eugenia Perojo and Sara Medina respectively, dealt with the Scottish Circles of Liberal Hispanism: George Moir’s Reviews of Spanish Literature and Women Translators within the Incipient British Hispanism of the Romantic Era.
